Overview
Technology now plays a pivotal role in how global supply chains function. Even before COVID-19 pandemic shook global supply chains, they were already burdened with rising costs and increasing complexity in terms of fulfillment. In line with the overarching principle of rationalizing costs, mobility solutions are one of the new areas of interest to the supply chain community particularly in terms of how inventory accuracy can be increased and costs can be reduced. Mobility solutions increase the productivity of warehouse workers manifold, allowing businesses to review and reallocate workforce from execution level activities to planning and analytical activities.
Warehouse 360 is a best of breed mobility solution created by Evosys. It works in conjunction with Oracle Cloud SCM to provide greater visibility of the warehouse and shop-floor transactions and prepare for different real-time situations like changes in orders, emergency shipments, stock movements within the warehouse, decrease and increase in inventory - all on the go.
Warehouse 360 is optimally placed to offer light-weight warehouse management features like mobile transactions, label printing solutions etc. to industries which do not have the need to opt for a dedicated warehouse management system.
As businesses tend to diversify and find new ways of operate, one of the critical challenges for any mobility solution lies in how it is able to address transactions done at remote locations. Warehouse 360 is able to provide offline support capabilities to inventory accuracy functions. This becomes particularly important when we consider the need for having inventory accuracy across various industries like Health Care and Oil and Gas where inventory is kept in places not serviced by dedicated internet connectivity.
Warehouse 360 fits into the standard supply chain transaction flows available with Oracle like Requisition To Receipt, Order To Deliver, Material Request To Delivery, Production To Stock and Inventory Count To Reconciliation. As part of the continuous process improvements, Maintenance and Quality modules will be supported in the upcoming months.
Transaction level security has been designed in Warehouse 360 in line with Oracle’s approach of Roles. Each function in itself represents a role that can be allocated to users as per their business functions. Roles can be further tied to warehouses to set the scope of activities for a particular user.
