Oracle Cloud Services by Evosys

  • Oracle ADF: Oracle ADF is an end-to-end Java EE framework that simplifies application development by providing out-of-the-box infrastructure services and a visual and declarative development experience.

  • Oracle Application Framework (OAF) : OA Framework or OAF is a proprietary framework for application development within the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). The framework is also available to customers for personalization's, customizations and custom-application development. The OA Framework is a Model-view-controller (MVC) framework built using Java EE technologies.

  • Oracle Enterprise Mobility Applications: Evosys has developed a wide range of enterprise applications on various mobile platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry etc.) on top of Oracle Ebiz Suite and other enterprise applications. Some of the Applications are listed below

Data Guard is unique among Oracle replication solutions in supporting both synchronous (zero data loss) and asynchronous (near-zero data loss) configurations. Administrators can chose either manual or automatic failover of production to a standby system if the primary system fails in order to maintain high availability for mission critical applications

Major Challenges faced in previous manual process

  • HR department functioned in isolation which led to hiring and recruiting without considering the positions budgeted by Budgeted department thereby increasing the Variance between Budget and Actuals.

  • Skewed productivity- Positions were created in departments which were already over resourced in terms of Productivity which distorted the set benchmarks.

Hyperion Position Control Solution Overview 

  • Hyperion Position Control linked the Budgeting System (Oracle Hyperion) with the transactional system (Oracle HRMS) to ensure matching Actuals against Budget.

  • Both Oracle HRMS and Oracle Hyperion were integrated based on a unique reference number generated in Oracle Hyperion.

  • Oracle Hyperion is the source system for any position movement in the Organization thereby any transfer, promotion or addition of Position should be incorporated firstly in Oracle Hyperion and followed up in Oracle HRMS.

Hyperion to HCM integration at SEHA for Position Control – Business Benefits

  • Ownership to Budgeting/Finance team: As Hyperion became the source system for Position Control, Budgeting department could control the operations of HR department which led to reduction in exceptions.

  • Online Vacancy & Exception report: All budgeted positions were mapped to Actual Positions in Oracle HRMS thereby providing real-time vacancy report.

  • Real time Vacancy and Exception reports helped the management in making informed decisions leading to improved productivity and ease in the Budgeting process for the next year.

It is directly linked to the General Passports Department to allow private and public establishments access to the official databases of their clients, and verify identities, backgrounds, and history. This benefits the companies as it reduces the risks of fraud and misrepresentations, and it fast tracks client selection.

Integration from E-Asset Systems to EBIZ R12 for MOF, UAE

Item Integration from E-Asset Systems to EBIZ R12

Solution Notes

  • MOF doesn’t has the Inventory module implemented in oracle R12. So to create PO or Requisition they require Item from the E-Asset System.

  • To achieve this integration Evosys has implemented the below solution:

  • A Custom Concurrent program scheduled at periodic interval will call the SOA BPEL service which will call the E-Assets System web-service by passing username, password, from Date and to Date as input parameters .Here the from date is taken from R12 Database table.

  • In response E-Assets System will provide newly added or updated item details.

  • BPEL Service will transform the data in Oracle Ebiz format and provide response back to concurrent program.

  • Concurrent program will then pull the data into EBIZ interface table

PO Integration from EBIZ R12 to E-Asset Systems

  • In MOF the PO receipt creation is done in E-Asset System and PO is created at Oracle EBIZ R12. So while creating the receipt the E-Asset system require the PO data in E-Asset System.

  • To achieve this Evosys has provided the below solutions:

  • Evosys has created the SOA based service, which will call the EBIZ database view object using the Database adapter.

  • E-Asset system will call the SOA base web service and pass the PO number and get the PO details.

  • This PO integration between the E-Asset system and EBIZ is real time integration.

Technical Solution Components

Solution Notes

  • GACA has some EBS modules, e.g. Inventory, implemented in oracle R12. So to store all the attachments from EBS they require WebCenter Content as a centralized repository.

  • To achieve this integration Evosys has implemented the below solution:

  • Oracle provides EBS adapter to achieve this integration by enabling which the managed attachment solution gets integrated with EBS using AXF technology and all the attachments start to go into ECM.

  • This solution enable Zoom icon on EBS entity forms using which managed attachment window gets open.

  • User can attach a new document or select already uploaded document from repository from the EBS application itself.

  • The enabled Buttons or icons invoke Check-in, Content Info, Edit, Update, detach functionality from the managed attachment window
